Crude oil

A natural mixture of hydrocarbons and other compounds that have not been refined. Produced crude oil commonly contains solution gas and closely resembles the original oil from the reservoir rock. Hydrocarbons are the most abundant compounds in crude oils, but they also contain nitrogen, sulfur, and/or oxygen (NSO) compounds and variable concentrations of trace elements, such as vanadium and nickel.[1]
