Carbonate

Carbonates are sedimentary rocks composed of calcite (or occasionally aragonite), CaCO3, and dolomite,CaMg(CO3)2. These rocks are called limestone and dolomite (formerly dolostone) respectively. When metamorphosed these become marble.
