Water saturation (Sw) of a reservoir is a function of height above free water (h) and pore type. Sw interpretations should be made accounting for h, r35, and pore throat size distribution in the reservoir. The Archie equation is the most widely used method of determining Sw.
This section discusses how to calculate Sw from the Archie equation using various numerical and graphical techniques and how to interpret the results.
